The Richmond Peace Education Center Presents GENERATION DREAM 2019

Held annually in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy and vision of peace and social justice, Generation Dream is one of the Richmond Peace Education Center’s biggest events. Through Generation Dream 2019, talented youth from throughout central Virginia, along with supporting adult artists, perform original poems, music and dance pieces.

The goal of Generation Dream is to inspire members of our community to work towards peace and create a more inclusive community. But in addition, this event serves as an empowering experience for youth participants. Performers will consider contemporary issues of racial justice, islamophobia, and gun violence, as well as honoring some of the heroes of the long fight for social justice. Many of the pieces are original, inspired by the personal experiences of our performers.

Generation Dream 2019 is a free, family friendly event, and is open to the public.

Students of Sri Sai Dance Academy will be presenting a new choreography for this occasion.
